January activities of Istria Tourist Board
As the beginning of every year brings numerous activities for the Istria Tourist Board in terms of its promotion abroad, January, and especially its second half, is filled with numerous B2B workshops and tourism fairs.
In the cooperation with the Croatian National Tourist Board, Istrian promotional activities take place during fairs with particularly developed appearances at separate presentations in Moscow, Kiev and Dublin.
The first stop is Moscow on January 22 with the Sell Croatia B2B Workshop, traditionally organized by the Croatian National Tourist Board. The same workshop will be held in Kiev two days later, on January 24. Workshops are organized for Croatian, Russian and Ukrainian partners. Their significance lies in the size of this tourism source markets.
The third destination is the Dublin Holiday World Show from January 24-26, a specialized tourism fair where the County Tourist Board appears with a separate booth space. Dublin is exceptionally interesting for additional promotion of Istria as a tourist destination in view of a new airline route between Dublin and Pula, which will become operational from spring. Aer Lingus, the Irish national airline, has opened two weekly return flights, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The first flight is scheduled for April 19, while this year's connecting flights will end on October 31.
