The 10th anniversary of the popular guidebook EnjoyIstria
The 30th celebratory issue of the popular tourist guidebook EnjoyIstria was published a few days ago by the Istrian Tourist Board. The occasion marked the guidebook's 10th anniversary. First published in 2005, Enjoy started out as two annual issues. Now published four times a year it presents Istria's latest tourism offering to foreign as well as domestic guests and provides a calendar containing all the events per season that this peninsula has to offer.
Today, EnjoyIstria brings you all the latest information once in spring, once in autumn and twice during the summer. You can pick up your copy at the info desks of tourist boards across Istria and at the front desks of hotels and camping sites. In the preseason and postseason EnjoyIstria can also be found at the foreign branch offices of the Croatian National Tourist Board, giving future guests a preview of the tourism offering and attractions that await them on the heart-shaped peninsula.
The latest quadrilingual issue brings you 84 pages packed with information about the most important events that will take place in Istria. Short narratives present Istria's entire tourism offering, ranging from its cultural attractions, across activity holidays to its beautiful natural wonders. In addition to providing indispensable service information, the guide also offers a list of museums, galleries and attractions from all over Istria. Whenever you want, you can find what you need to know about museum and gallery working hours, addresses and telephone numbers, all in one place - at EnjoyIstria.
In this issue, you will find, for the first time, a more-detailed description of the activity holiday offering in the Buzet area, in particular, the region’s attractive climbing zones which have become one of the most important trump-cards of tourism in northern Istria. Readers will find interesting information about protected plant and animal species in Istria, such as the Mediterranean monk seal, often seen on the beaches of southern Istria, the Plomin bluebell or the Italian agile frog. EnjoyIstria will also tell readers about the new hiking trails and bicycle routes they can take to discover Istria.
This year's first issue presents one of the biggest events in Istria – the Red Bull Air Race that will be held at Rovinj in early April, a race that will attract the world's flying elite, and along with them thousands of new guests. The world media broadcasting of this race is expected to generate immense publicity for Rovinj as well as for Istria.
