The International Public Call for the Creation of the Communication Umbrella – the Big Idea
In line with the findings and postulates of the 2015-2020 Strategic and Operating Marketing Plan, the Istria Tourist Board (ITB) launched the process for the selection of the Big Idea as the Communication Umbrella Concept of Istrian tourism by publishing on 4 July 2016 on its webpage the international call for the submission of applications for taking part in the creation of said communication concept, which will represent a backbone of the fully integrated Istrian marketing communication system in the following five to ten years.
The selection of the bidders for the creation of the communication concept of Istrian tourism will be carried out in two phases. The first pre-qualification phase will be open until 20 July, which is a deadline for the submission of documentation by potential agencies and does not require creative proposals but only evidence of their eligibility. Then follows the second phase which will include the participation of a maximum of five agencies selected by a special selection committee. They will be invited for the introductory meeting and the presentation of the project task.
Bids containing their creative proposals must be submitted by the selected bidders until 2 September 2016. Each presented conceptual design will be first market tested on a representative sample of the target group in four priority emitting markets, which will be followed by the evaluation of submitted proposals and concepts. Finally, one bid will be selected and the contract signed with the selected agency. The selection and the presentation of the selected communication umbrella concept is expected until the end of 2016.
