Summer vesture of the Enjoy Istra brochure
The summer edition of EnjoyIstra 2018 is mainly dedicated to the discovery of the Istrian hinterland so that its cover, which shows the scenic Brtonigla, entices exploration of the green areas of the largest Adriatic peninsula.
By revealing the Istrian mysteries hidden within the misty valley of the Mirna River, up on the hilltops, in a number of legends and by word of mouth, EnjoyIstra offers its readers new stories - the one about the Mare witch in stunning Svetvinčenat or rather, somewhere closer to the sea, Vrsar's adventures of Giacomo Casanova and Pula's clew of riddles as a challenge to a new way of discovering the three thousand year old city.
Walking enthusiasts will most certainly enjoy the Trail of Views that begins in Vižinada revealing itself through its historical and cultural heritage. Along with a variety of walking and cycling trails that tangle up the peninsula, interesting guided free sightseeing is offered in the towns of Vodnjan, Pazin, Žminj, Ližnjan and Šišan.
Istria is also known as a top gourmet destination, so this brochure has not forgotten its gourmet itineraries for which an interesting mobile application, the Istra Gourmet Guide, has been made. It suggests places for tasting Momjan Muscat, Buzet's truffles or champagnes. Istra can be visited with the family too, enjoying the magical sights of Oprtalj together, but also finding shelter from the summer heat in one of the peninsula's attractive caves.
EnjoyIstra has been published as unique edition in four languages - Croatian, English, German and Italian. Along with a detailed calendar of events that are taking place in Istria in July, August and September, it also presents a list of traditional monthly fairs on the peninsula, with an essential overview of galleries, collections, attractions and various activities, and address books that are available to enable you to get around the area easily.
